Bar Stools: It’s important to get out your tape measure and verify the height of your bar in order to find the right stools. It’s best to choose seating that will allow 9-12 inches from the seat to the counter surface.

Distance between stools: Allow 28-32 inches for each seating space or about 5 inches between seats depending on stool width.
